tempera cakes

1. Tempera cakes instead of tempera paint--If you don't need super messy wet paint, why use it? You may like to brightness of the colors, or the mixing ability but you can get this and more with tempera cakes. Plus, you don't have the mess with tempera cakes. I bought Prang which are wonderful! They are easy to use, easy to mix, and come in an easily stackable container with a lid. I used them for the Jim Dine hearts and the Van Gogh landscapes. They are a bit expensive, but last forever and the quality is fantastic!
